Researching your ancestry?
We can give our staying guests lots of information on the research resources available in the Highlands. Glen is a history graduate with museum and archive experience. He can help you begin exploring your family history or give advice on how you can continue your detective work.
Wireless internet connection
The Lodge has free wi-fi access.
Cyclists and motorbikers welcome
We have a lockable store for road or mountain bikes and private off street parking for motor bikes. There's also a drying room for wet gear.
The Lodge is also very pleased to welcome Land's End to John O'Groats riders. Many such cyclists have stayed with us over the past ten years... and we have laundry facilities.
Make tracks to historic High Bridge
A new public footpath now links Spean Bridge to the historic remains of General Wade's High Bridge. This two mile easy walk meanders through oak and birch woodland and then continues high above the River Spean as it spills through an impressive gorge by the romantic ruins of the bridge. It was at High Bridge that the first shots were fired in the Jacobite Uprising in 1745. You will also have the chance to admire the spectacular mountain panorama from the Commando Memorial.
